Tween Portrait Session Giveaway!

Hey tweens! Want to score a free portrait session that’s all about YOU? Then keep reading!
Picturesque Memphis is giving away a session (worth $125!) to one lucky tween between the ages of 9 and 13. If you’re chosen, we’ll talk together and pick out the exact location and props you’d like to help capture your unique personality and interests!

Plus, you will be one of Picturesque Memphis’ valued spokesmodels! What does this mean? Well, you and your parents’ opinions about products, presentation, and other important business aspects will be highly important! You will also receive some adorable referral cards to give out to friends and family who need portraits. And the best part? You’ll receive rewards when they book sessions!

Sounds great, right? Here’s what I need from you for your entry:

1. A recent photo of just you. This is your way of showing me YOUR unique personality! Be creative and use your outfit, hair, props, etc to showcase your attitude

2. A written statement (work together with mom and dad!) telling me just how you plan to promote Picturesque Memphis as a spokesmodel. Consider a variety of ways: your school, online networking (Facebook, etc), parents’ contacts/coworkers- put your thinking caps on and show me what you’ve got!

3. A written statement from your parents permitting you to enter this contest and me to use your entry in promotional materials.

Email these together to picturesquememphis@gmail.com – and put “Tween Giveaway” in the subject line. Include you and your parents’ names, along with a phone number to reach you at.
Deadline is June 20th- so get creative! I can’t wait to see your entries

My last senior session!

I started my assistant job at a local senior studio last week, so I’m unavailable for 2010 bookings! I know, you’re very sad now. But cheer up! I can still take your family/maternity/children’s/newborn portraits! Or if your 2009 senior wants some updated photos, I can help with that, too!

However, I had sooooo much fun with my final 2010 senior! Ashley is so beautiful inside and out, and the results were outstanding! Here’s a few previews:

Ensuring Customer Satisfaction

As a photographer, I face a unique challenge: providing images of a person that not only present him or her in a way that they find flattering, but also in a style that they appreciate and prefer. While all people are beautiful in their different ways, some have a hard time appreciating their looks- so it can be difficult for them to truly enjoy a photo session and prints.

With every scheduled session, I host a complimentary consultation to discuss every aspect of the upcoming photoshoot with my client. If you are local, we can meet at Starbucks to view some examples of my work together. And if you are hours away, like my upcoming senior Ashley, we can schedule a phone consultation.

When we meet, I want you to do most of the talking. Now, don’t be scared- what I mean to say is that I want you to express your desires and concerns about your session. I will answer any questions you have, and talk a bit about important details, but discovering your personality and interests is the main purpose of the consultation.

We’ll talk about where you’re going to hang your photos; is this session for a new family portrait? baby announcements? just because?
I’ll ask you about anything interesting that you might like to incorporate: special hobbies, sports, your child’s favorite toy.
I’ll also get your favorite colors and musicians- to personalize any slideshows and other items.

Clothing! This is my favorite part. We nail down exactly what styles of outfits you’re going to bring, and I remind you about the important details: nails, hair, and jewelry!

And we definitely talk location! I can show you sample work from various places in the Mid-South. We’ll discuss the pros and cons of each and decide which will work best for our project.

Lastly, I’ll let you know about the many options Picturesque Memphis offers in our boutique catalog: calendars, purses, brag books, invitations, etc. Everything is offered at an affordable price, and I don’t try to pressure you into any upgrades!
